It has been seven days since the Tigers beat the Knights 20-4 and Marshall conceded the Galvin exit saga has had a big impact on himself and the club.

“It’s been a big week,” Marshall said.
“But at the end of the day, we’ve got to play a rugby league game and without any disrespect, we moved on pretty quickly for this game to focus our game, so that we get our focus right and try not to let it become too big of a distraction.
“So for the players, we had to switch out of that mode and straight into what we needed to do today. So that’s been our focus.”
Marshall was pressed on his message to Galvin ahead of his first game since being dropped to NSW Cup.
“Go back and play some footy,” the Tigers coach said.

“We’ll talk about his game tomorrow at review, but for us it’s about what our players and the 17 can do today to win.
“I understand the want and the need to talk about the situation, but as a coach, I have to channel my energy into what we do today and then that rubs off onto the team.
“So we’re fully focused on getting the result today and on Easter Monday, what better time to do it?”
Galvin’s camp have sent the Tigers a legal letter over bullying in the latest development amid reports they are agitating for an early release from his contract.

However, Marshall reminded Galvin’s camp he is contracted until November 2026 and it is business as usual for the club.
“He’s contracted for the next 18 months, so it’s review as normal for us,” Marshall said.
“To be honest with you, we’ll deal with that tomorrow. Like trying to process what we need to do now for the game and make sure that we get that part right.
“So as much as I know everyone wants to know and understand it, my head’s here and what we need to do today.”
