Class season 1 spoilers follow.
If you're looking for a new show infused with messy teen romance, high-school drama and a dash of murder, check out Netflix's Class, the streamer's Indian remake of the hit Spanish-language series Elite.
Just like its predecessor, the new drama follows three working-class students who earn scholarships to one of the most prestigious schools in the country. However, excitement soon turns to dread once they find themselves wrapped up in a web of class warfare, secrets and betrayal following the suspicious murder of a student.
While the series will feel very familiar to fans of the Spanish original (there's no denying the storyline and characters have been lifted directly from it), there is some potential for the series to flourish in its own right should it get that all-important renewal.
So with that being said, here's everything you need to know about season two.
Class season 2 potential release date: When will it air on Netflix?
Netflix typically announces a renewal within one or two months of a new show's premiere, and it might take anywhere between 12 to 18 months to produce.
So, assuming Class's viewing figures are up to scratch and Netflix considers it worthy of a renewal, season two will most likely premiere in the spring of 2024.
Class season 2 cast: Who's in it?
If Class returns for a second season, you can expect pretty much all of the following cast members to reprise their roles:
• Piyush Khati as Dheeraj Kumar Valmiki
• Gurfateh Pirzada as Neeraj Kumar Valmiki
• Madhyama Segal as Saba Manzoor
• Cwaayal Singh as Balli Sehrawat
• Ayesha Kanga as Yashika Mehta
• Chayan Chopra as Dhruv Sanghvi
• Chintan Rachchh as Faruq Manzoor
• Naina Bhan as Koel Kalra
• Moses Koul as Sharan Gujral
• Zeyn Shaw as Veer Ahuja
Suhani Ahuja (Anjali Sivaraman) was brutally murdered by Sharan, so we can rule out her return unless there are some flashbacks involved.
Then of course there's also the possibility of new faces coming onto the scene.
Class season 2 plot: What will happen?
In the season finale, it's revealed that Suhani had stolen a phone containing some information that threatened to ruin the reputations of both Koel and her family.
Sharan confronts Suhani about the phone, but the argument escalates and he brutally beats her to death with her Hampton Gold award.
Sharan, still covered in Suhani's blood, finds Koel and she helps him dispose of the evidence.
Meanwhile, Neeraj discovers Suhani's body on campus and is arrested for her murder after Dheeraj gives the police a statement admitting he saw Neeraj flee the scene.
But just when it looks like they've gotten away with it, Koel and Sharan both receive an anonymous text message that reads: "I can keep my mouth silent, but what's in it for me?", along with an incriminating photo of Sharan wearing the bloodied shirt.
The most obvious suspect is Balli, who saw Sharan giving the stolen phone to Koel after murdering Suhani, but could someone else have been watching?
Class season 2 trailer: When can I watch it?
Sorry, class! There's no sign of a trailer for season two just yet.
But keep checking back in and we'll update you whenever we hear anything new.
